Changelog v.3.0.1 | 19/04/2025
A massive thank you to Potato and Wilton for their work on a few of the new AO sub-objectives (Advanced Camouflage Device and Doomsday Device)!
ADDED:
- New AO sub-objective: Advanced Camouflage Device - this sub-objective will activate intense fog that covers the map until the objective is disabled, then the fog will clear up. The objective can be completed using the engineer sabotage method.
- New AO sub-objective: Doomsday Device - this sub-objective contains a weapon of mass destruction (WMD) and will act as a rare sub-objective that spawns only when the server has more than 50 players and it’s on a timer (random value between 25-35 minutes). If the friendly forces fail to disable the device, it will explode and the AO will fail. The device can be disabled by the engineer's sabotage method.
- New AO sub-objective: Prototype Vehicle - this sub-objective is an enemy experimental high-tech vehicle, T-100X Futura, that has to be destroyed. While the vehicle is active, all medium enemy vehicles in the AO will have a minor armor buff. The vehicle can be destroyed by any means.
- Ungrouped popup message - short instructions for ungrouped players, this goes away when a squad is joined, can be toggled on/off through the player menu (‘Home’)
- Enemy security forces - new AI added to all AO sub-objectives
- Toggle for the new weather system enforcement in the Admin/Zeus menu
TWEAKED:
- New scaling system - player count impacts how AO’s spawn. The new system has more options built in. Spawning logic and reinforcements were reworked to account for the new scaling system. This will impact the way AO spawns, works and cycles.
- Increased AI presence - fitting the new scaling system.
- Increased amount of HMG towers - more towers can now spawn at the same time in the AO, impacted by the new scaling system.
- Increased size of AO’s.
- Sub-objectives interactions - interaction menu unified, (hold action) for completion.
- Sub-objectives hold action icons to better correspond to the current task.
- Permanently destroyed buildings - disabled ruins from being added to the garbage collector and buildings will now remain destroyed
- Increased enemy helicopter flight altitude to 400m (up from 300m)
- Updated map menu texts (task descriptions, etc.)
- Tweaked map/server naming conventions
- Performance update - refactored a number of the existing functions.
- Mission file layout - easier readability and faster workflow for future development.
FIXED:
- Sub-objectives placement - fixed issue with sub-objectives spawning on top of each other
- Garbage collector - all leftover units are now being removed on AO completion
- Intro video delay - no more waiting for the intro video to load on spawn
- Typo in the mortar pit notification
REMOVED:
- Clean up - unused files and functionality from the mission file
