We are taking a step towards a gameplay focusing more towards tactical gameplay and teamwork. To facilitate this playstyle, we have adjusted the class system to give every class a unique role to fulfil.
In the following list, we will go through every class and what makes them unique within our new class system:
Squad leaders:
The squad leader is meant to lead the squad and communicate with other squad leaders, support elements, HQ and Pilots. To emphasise their role as the primary coordinator, they are the only squad member able to carry a laser designator. This will give the squad leaders the ability to coordinate with support elements and laser designate when needed.
The squad leader is one of two classes able to use rifles equipped with a 40mm launcher. They will be able to use 40mm smoke and flairs to mark targets for support elements and conceal the squad's movement.
To give the squad leaders an extra tool to defend the squad against light vehicles they are able to carry rocket-propelled grenade launchers.

The rifleman is a supplement to the squad, in addition to protecting the squad from light armoured vehicles with their RPG, they can be used to carry extra ammunition for other heavily-laden classes like AT rifleman and Auto rifleman.
Rifleman in short:
- One of two classes able to carry Light AT (RPG type weapons)
We hope this will cover most of the questions any player might have about the basic class system.
Best regards
Karlsson.
