Happy New Year, 77th JSOC soldiers, staff, groupies, fanbois, and everyone in between.
Our planet managed to get around the sun once again, and that means time for celebration.
I could use an hour writing up all the stuff we achieved this year and the ones in the past, but this year this post will be more focused on the future.
This year as a community, things have been good, and we are still steadily progressing with our current goals.
Some of the things that will happen after this new year will be directed toward our public community.
The current public servers running I&A have been undergoing a lot of work during 2023 with focus on the back-end systems.
we created a database system that makes us able to track data across all our platforms and servers.
Next step is to use that to build more in-depth systems that could be used for examples like; building player rank, progress systems, saving data between restarts, making tech trees, and much more.
Another initiative we are working on is the expansion into other games, giving our community more options to play different games with the backing of the 77th JSOC community standards.
That brings me to the start of 2024.
With the database pretty much ready to go we will open up the discussion on how to use it in our comminuty.
We will also be launching of our own reforger server for the public community, which we will use to further refine the conflict gamemode.
gamemode have already been through several internal tests and slowly been building our own version of the conflict mode, which we will announce more information about.
With the potential of arma 4 being closer to a release than ever our focus in 2024 will be to be ready to launch our own servers with a custom made 77th JSOC gamemode and that will require a lot of help from both our own members, but also our public community.
I personaly am looking forward to what will come in 2024 regarding arma and the progress we are currently seeing on reforger.
