To prevent degradation and disturbance to operations, you can follow this guideline to improve your experience as a squad leader.

Keep communication short, clear and respectful.

'''Use of OVER and OUT.'''
OVER is used to end the message and you request a reply from the receiver.
''Requesting transport for 8 soldiers main AO, over.''
OUT is used to end the conversation, opening the channel for other elements. Only the starter of the communication can close the conversation.
''Copy, Ghosthawk pad one, (bravo) out.''
''Requesting 5 artillery round SE of AO on marker 1 till 5, over''
''LZ is secure, land south of church marked with blue smoke, out''
''Requesting use of two unarmed prowlers, over''

''Good effect on target, end of fire mission, Alpha out.''
''Copy, Alpha out.''

'''An emergency transmission can break in on a conversation of other elements.''' This is highly disruptive and misuse will result in penalties. The call BREAK, BREAK means that all communication on the command channel should stop and opens the channel for the emergency.
''Break, Break''
''Rhino(armour) this is Alpha, over''
''Target located, engaging, over''
''Good effect on target, thank you, Alpha out.''

'''Sending a statement on command channel (use sparingly) is possible.''' You can send a statement to all elements if the message has a high priority and multiple elements are concerned. Make sure you don’t interrupt other communication on the command channel.
''All actuals, priority message, armoured column consisting of 3 APC’s and 1 T-100 moving in from the north, Alpha out.''
The preferred option is to send the info to HQ so he can address the issue and task an element.
''HQ this is Alpha, priority message, over''
''This is HQ, over''
An autorifleman is under direct orders from the squadleader and focusing his firepower on enemy troop concentrations of four or more. The autorifleman will place his weapon into the most likely avenue of approach considering terrain, cover and sector of observation. As the main suppressive weapon you provide cover fire while the second fireteam bounds into position.

Responsibilities

Provide mid-range suppressive fire

Situational awareness

Choosing suitable weapon positions

Extended profile

As an automatic rifleman, you support your squad leader with whatever he needs. Your main task is to provide suppressive or covering fire. Coördinate with a second autorifleman to divide the sectors and create effective crossfire. Moving in a formation you often be the point man. From the front you will be able to provide imminent suppressive fire.

As an autorifleman you have multiple options in weapons and types of ammunition. We advise the Mk 200 in 200 rounds belts. It will provide you with sustainable accurate suppressive fire in the range of 400-600m. With tracer ammunition it gives you to option to indicate the location of enemy troops to other squad members, at the loss of giving away your position.
As the Anti Air role you are carrying out a support role specific to ground to air squad protection. The most called upon time for the AA soldier is the start or defence of an AO. You are only to engage air targets when you have been given the permission by your squad leader, this is to ensure that the whole of your squad has been positioned behind hard cover. From the air, infantry units are difficult to spot on the ground, engaging the air assets might give away the position of your unit and in the crosshairs of the CSAT forces.

The 'Titan' launcher has both an Anti-Air (AA) and Anti-Tank (AT) version. Picking the right launcher and accordingly the right rockets at base is essential. You do not want to find yourself out in the field only to realise the shells are not compatible with the launcher you have chosen.

Once you have your target in sight you can lock on to it by pressing 'T' by default. This will engage the heat seeking technology and ensure the missile finds his way to the locked target. Air assets are defended by flares making a hit more difficult. The TITAN MPRL is a fire and forget weapon but the angle and direction off the target makes if the target is able to flare off your attack.

Having the restraint not to shoot on sight

Anticipating, calculating trajectory and missile drop when using RPG

As the AT role you are carrying out a support role specific to air or ground vehicles. Next to the normal rifleman loadout, you have the unique ability to carry different types of launchers. The most frequently used launchers that have a heatseeking lock mechanism are the 'PCML' and 'Titan'. Those are the easiest to use and require almost no skillset to hit their targets.

You are only to engage vehicles when you have been given the permission by your squad leader, this is to ensure that the whole of your squad has been positioned behind hard cover in case you miss the target or are not able to neutralize it from the first shot. Failing to do so will give away your position and attract the attention of not only the unit you are trying to disable but also any nearby infantry. Subsequenly making it very hard to get out of that situation alive.

This will engage the heatseeking technology and ensure the missile finds his way to the locked target. Make sure that after shooting you keep the target in your crosshairs up untill the point of impact. If you want to have a bit more of a challenge we recommend using the classic RPG which does not lock on and requires ranging the target. You also need to anticipate where the vehicle will be after the missile flight time which greatly increases the satisfaction of eliminating a target if succesfull.
