Primary tasks: Transporting squads to and from their objectives
Secondary tasking:
  • Airlifting ammo and other supplies upon request
  • Taking care of ungrouped soldiers in abscense of HQ (grouping)

Job description

As a rotary-wing transport pilot you are expected to master the handling of all types of available aircrafts. You are responsible for the safe insertion and extraction of ground troops. It is expected that you are familiar with the different types of helicopters available.

Requirements

  • Being able to handle different types of rotary-wing aircrafts (DLC not required)
  • Having the ability to judge the security of given LZ’s,
    alter if needed in order to safely deploy the troops on board
  • Clear communication with headquarters or squad leaders over the command channel.

Extended profile

As a transport pilot you are responsible for the units you are carrying. Which means that in the absence of an acting HQ your main tasking will exist out of transporting troops from base to the AO and back.

When given a landing zone (LZ) by a squad leader, you have the right to request alternation of that LZ when intel suggests it might be unsafe. Since you are the sole responsible of the crew you are carrying you also outrank the will of the squad leader. When you are not being given an alternate option you have the right to set your own in order to deploy troops safely.

When you transport persons who are not part of an active squad you are instigating lonewolfing. Therefore, you are not allowed to transport any single individual without having the squad leader explicitly requesting that transport over the command channel. Hence the importance to respect the chain of command. Any direct requests from personnel are to be ignored or redirected to their respective squad leader.

Whilst having the luxury of operating with multiple different types of rotary-wing helicopters you are expected to master all of them. It is natural to have a preference for a certain type, however, it is highly forbidden to purposely crash or destroy types of helicopters you do not ‘like’ to fly with for whatever reason. Infractions on these actions will be punishable by exclusion from piloting for an amount of time. Recurring problems as mentioned before might end up in administrative leave from our services.
